AccessAlt is a Shopify App that provides automatic alt text for every product image in 15 languages, ensuring WCAG 2.1 AA and EAA compliance. Users can easily see the number of product images missing alt text and choose to caption new products automatically or backfill existing ones. Captions are kept under 125 characters and can be edited without being overwritten by the app. Decorative images are handled appropriately for screen readers.
