SEO HERO AI Alt Text Generator

Quite easy I was pretty surprised how well the AI worked. It did take some prompting to get it correct but the workflow was relatively easy. Support is great too!

Set up was straightforward and well-guided. The onboarding flow asks the right questions — business type, SEO goals, brand keywords — and the Live Preview feature is genuinely useful for checking output quality before committing credits. The generated alt text for our jewellery products was accurate, descriptive and included material details (14K gold plated, product name, styling context) which is exactly what we needed. The only limitation on the free plan is that custom prompt instructions require an upgrade, but the keyword injection via brand/SEO context fields works well as a workaround. Good app for any store with a backlog of missing alt text.

App showed one of my images with alt text it added, was bang on. I think this will be a good option for me.

Yep, they make great apps, I am using 3 of them. Because of these apps I am suddenly able to clean up a lot in our store: now all our images have proper alt text assigned to them. Alt Image text for over 7000 images, I could have never done that manually. The AI is very capable to detect what the image is about, so it is not just a description, it is a proper description

Just set this up for our bespoke jewellery store and the configuration was straightforward. The metafield integration is particularly useful — it pulls in carat, shape, colour and clarity to generate specific, accurate alt text for each diamond rather than generic descriptions. Early days but the output quality looks good. Saves a significant amount of manual work across a large product catalogue.
