Akikumo: Smart Merchandising
All reviews
The app and team are fantastic and incredibly responsive. The automatic organization of collections, along with the weekly data and dashboards, has been especially valuable for us as a small team. The insights are incredibly useful, and the team is always willing to help build custom features and automate processes to make us more efficient. Super smart product and team!
Akikumo has been a great tool for REDVANLY as we continue to grow. It gives us a clear picture of what our customers are actually buying and makes it much easier to understand what’s working across products, variants, and different sales channels. One of the biggest wins for our team is the Collection Intelligence. Merchandising our collections for e-commerce used to be a very manual process, but Akikumo has made it so much easier to use real performance data to help determine how products should be merchandised. It saves our team a ton of time while also taking some of the guesswork out of the process. We also love being able to quickly see what’s performing and use those insights to make smarter inventory decisions for future seasons. Having everything in one place allows us to spend less time pulling reports and more time actually using the information to make decisions. Leon and Jared have also been wonderful to work with. They really listen to our needs, take our feedback into consideration, and are constantly improving the product based on how our team actually uses it. It feels like they genuinely care about understanding our business and building features that make Akikumo even more useful for us. As a growing brand, we’re always looking for ways to work smarter without adding more manual processes, and Akikumo has helped us do exactly that!
Great team! Very helpful during onboarding and getting us set up with waht
Before Akikumo, merchandising was mostly educated guesses. A lot of gut, not much real structure behind how we were ordering or organizing products. Akikumo tightened that up, now it’s a mix of instinct and actual data. The time savings are obvious. We hit a ShipHero sync issue, and instead of digging through a ton of product histories in Shopify and cross-checking with ShipHero, I checked Akikumo and saw the inventory spike right away. This would have taken me some time to investigate and analyze, but now its turned into a quick check. The biggest thing is you can trust what you’re looking at. It’s your real store data. No wondering if something’s off. Everything’s just clear. When you’re running lean and juggling drops, promos, and collections, that kind of clarity makes a big difference.
I’ve enjoyed using Akikumo. It surfaced issues I wouldn’t have caught quickly on my own, like products getting paid traffic while out of stock, unpublished inventory with revenue potential, and inconsistencies across the catalog. For a unique business model like mine, it’s also been helpful in gauging continued demand for sold-out styles. As someone who’s spent years in merchandising and e-commerce, what stood out is how clearly it highlights where revenue opportunities are being missed.
Before Akikumo I was running two stores mostly on instinct. I had no real road map for buying and genuinely didn't realize how messy my data was inconsistent sizing and variant names were everywhere from when we migrated from Square. I wouldn't have known to clean any of it up until Akikumo surfaced it for us. We cleaned up both stores in about an hour. Without the report, that would have taken forever...if we'd ever done it at all. What I love most is that it makes us feel like we're growing up. We're finally running our business like the bigger brands do...with real data, real decisions, not just guessing. That's what this app does for small business owners like us.
Akikumo is like my assistant. Instead of someone having to pull a bunch of reports and doing spreadsheet magic, I can just login and Akikumo has done all that work for me, plus a few bonus viewpoints that were super laborious to calculate the old school way. It helps me save time so I can make quicker, well informed decisions that will ultimately benefit the company.
We’ve been using Akikumo for a few months and it’s been a huge help keeping our collections organized and sales-focused. It flags products that are missing from the site or underperforming, and helps us sort collections by what’s actually driving revenue. The “missed revenue” alerts and clean reporting make it easy to take action quickly without spending hours in spreadsheets. Highly recommend for lean teams trying to stay on top of merchandising without extra headcount! Plus, they are such a great team to work with!!
Leon and Jarred at Akikumo have been great to work with. We are using their software to shed light on best selling products - thus improving our marketing. We like the inventory management tools to help forecast inventory and also know what products we have coming in and when. Glad to be working with this team.
We’ve only been using Akikumo for a short time, but I already see its potential for lean teams trying to keep their Shopify storefront organized. The insights around out-of-stock products, collection-level performance, and missed revenue from buried SKUs are especially useful. The team is super responsive, open to feedback, and moving fast. This could be a great tool for brands or agencies managing multiple storefronts.
Really loving the app so far. Constant enhancements occurring that are both practical and valuable on a macro and micro level for site and product performance. The automated collection organization is a powerful tool, and the ability to quickly identify what's working vs what's not and implement a new test in real time is great. Would absolutely recommend the product but even more-so the team behind it who are actively taking feedback and applying solutions that work for me as a customer
Jared and Leon have been so helpful re-merchandising our website! I can see so many more ways to bring in revenue that I wasn't aware of. For example, when we need to restock a hot item that has sold out and even a product I simply forgot to publish they picked up on. The feature I needed most was "Wasted Ad Revenue". It shows if an ad is sending shoppers to a product with no inventory. Looking at the stats by collection shows us how many tennis vs. golf customers I have and can help me target better on Instagram. Overall, Akikumo provides brilliant insight into how customers shop-adding more than the Shopify stats have been giving us. The chat bar offers questions I didn't even know we should be asking ourselves. SO grateful for this app. - Meagan Co-Founder & CEO of Hedge
