However, I want to clarify something very transparently: BiDeal does not and has never automatically deleted merchant deals on its own. Our system does not run any background job or logic that removes active offers without a direct action (manual deletion or API-triggered changes). In rare cases, we have seen situations where: Another discount/bundle app modifies or overwrites Shopify discount data. A theme or third-party app clears metafields or app-owned data. Store-level changes (like product deletions, duplications, or bulk edits) unintentionally affect associated deals. Because we didn’t have the opportunity to reconnect and investigate your specific case, we couldn’t properly audit logs or identify the exact trigger. That’s the part that truly frustrates us — not the rating, but losing the chance to diagnose and fix the root cause for you. As the founder, I personally stand behind the stability of BiDeal.
