It’s a good app for managing blog comments. However, it lacks a few features that I was looking for. 1. It would be nice if comments could be auto-posted to your blog and still be able to manage via email. - Currently, ALL comments have to be managed via email before posting. This can be a little annoying because for most comments there’s no need to do anything. 2. Commenters should be able to reply to comments. - Currently, the blog owner can reply to comments, and it shows the reply, but commenters cannot reply. It send and email to the commenter letting them know the blogger replied, but they can’t comment back. I emailed the app dev on point 1. and received a reply basically saying that’s just the way it is and didn’t seem open adding more features.
Thanks a lot for your review. 1. Since you emailed, I have had 2 more users request auto-posting comments. Because of these requests, we will add this feature in the near future, and I can update you when it is live. 2. Users seem to prefer that any lengthy back-and-forth is done in email rather than in a string of comments & replies. When the commenter is emailed, they can reply directly to you via that email and any back-and-forth happens via email. For now, we'll keep this functionality as is. Thanks again for trying out Sunny

This is the best blog comment app, and a few things about it stand out: 1) The customer service. I reached out to John about something and he responded to me right away and helped me out really quickly. 2) The blog comment interface is designed very simply, and it's very easy to use. You can make the changes in your settings extremely fast, because John wasted no space with the development. 3) Love how it looks on Shopify's blog when I reply to a commenter. Love that it appears within the original comment so it doesn't start this long, complicated Reddit-like thread. 4) It's a one-of-a-kind app. I tried to find other blog comment apps but I couldn't find any that didn't have any issues. I was honestly nervous that since Sunny was one-of-a-kind that it would be a bad app (since it could likely get away with it) but this developer went above and beyond to make sure this app is the best. In other words, get this app. Comments help your blog posts' SEO, so if you run a blog, you need this app.
Thanks so much for the positive review! Great to hear you're loving the app

This little app is great! Lets us manage native Shopify comments right from email. My only issue is every email for every comment is titled the same: "There's a new comment on your Shopify blog" and that it doesn't say "from Commenter Name" at the end to make the emails unique.
Thanks for the review and the suggestion! We've just launched a new version that includes your idea to have the commenter's name in the subject.

Thank god we can manage blog comments easily with this app! It's no-frills (meaning no feature bloat, which I love), and the developer is responsive to support inquiries and requests. Thank you Jon!
Thanks for the review!
