I'm extremely impressed with CarbonClick and their app. Unlike some carbon offset schemes, they genuinely care about the impact of their work. They avoid many of the pitfalls associated with carbon offsetting, such as the 'double counting' that occurs when trees are planted, cut down, then planted again. The app itself was easy for me to set up without any coding experience, though I know they also offer to set it up if needed. The colours can be changed to fit your store's branding, and you can choose the amount you're asking customers to contribute. One thing I appreciate is their focus on the broader strategies required to deal with the climate emergency. They don't pretend that carbon offsetting is enough on its own; instead, they encourage business owners to take further steps towards sustainable commerce. All in all, very happy to be partnering with them!
