Finally - a solution to our shipping woes! Given the nature of our cabinetry products, it has been difficult to find a program to correctly ascertain the correct shipping costs. Many of our products are large, bulky and are rated dimensionally versus just by weight. The calculated freight has either been too high or too low with both situations causing us to lose. When the freight calculates too high the cart is abandoned and when the freight is calculated too low, it erodes our profit, often making the sale completely unprofitable. We have been searching for a solution since our store opened and after several failed attempts with our solutions, we came across Decimal and discovered there is a viable shipping calculator that actually works. The algorithm accurately predicts the exact composition of the boxes that an order would be shipped in. The precision of the calculations allows us to be in full control of our shipping costs. It even assists us by providing packing instructions so our warehouse knows what goes in each box. With Decimal powering our checkout pages, we are finally able to charge our buyers just the right amount for shipping costs.
