Reviews summary

The reviews for this Shopify app, Co-op, are quite mixed. While some users have had a great experience with features like Disco Feed and post-purchase upsell, others have raised concerns about the attribution data accuracy and onboarding process. One user mentioned that the app was claiming credit for organic sales without actual click-throughs or discount code redemptions, leading to doubts about the value provided. On the positive side, users appreciate the ease of reaching audiences, the clean design, and the helpfulness of the team in growing partnerships and acquiring new customers. The app's UI and design have been praised for aligning with brand aesthetics and providing a seamless user experience. Overall, the app seems to offer a range of features for cross-promotion, upselling, and surveying customers, but there are concerns about transparency and effectiveness in some cases.

Check your attribution data carefully before trusting this app's numbers. After months of use, I discovered that 100% of our "conversions" were view-through, meaning zero customers actually clicked from a Disco placement to our store. The app was claiming credit for our organic sales because a customer happened to see our product name on another brand's post-purchase page within a 14-day window. Zero click-throughs. Zero discount code redemptions. The view-through vs click-through breakdown wasn't even visible in our dashboard by default. I wonder why they hide it... We had to manually enable it to see what was actually happening. This was never disclosed during onboarding. If you're evaluating this app, I would be very cautious. You may be paying for credit on sales you were already making.

Pretty great experience overall so far. We're currently using the Disco Feed (we've seen a handful of sales come in each month) and the post-purchase upsell feature.

Onboarding process was very unclear. I was able to be approved and install this, but after about two months I got zero sales. When I asked the team for advice, I got a confusing message about "exclusions" (apparently my ads weren't running on sites selling items in similar categories, which I didn't really care about, but removing the exclusions didn't do anything), and the advice to use more products with animated gifs as the image. I get that animated gifs attract attention, but if everybody started doing that.... Anyway, this just had zero effect for me and I couldn't justify the cost.

We love how easy it is to reach audiences with Coop. It is very organized, clean-cut, and makes us excited for the future and feel empowered about what we can bring to others. They make marketing and reaching audiences clear and easy for us to grow quickly and easily!
