This app was not initially working on my store. I posted a critical review and was promptly contacted by support. The customer service rep needed some access permissions to my store so he could fix it. He promptly fixed it. I am updating my review to a positive one. This app seems like a convenient way to get Google customer reviews on your store. The only catch is that the customer has to opt-in to receive an email at time of purchase. There doesn't seem to be a way for a customer to decide to come back and leave a review if they don't opt in right away. I think this would be a great feature to add because it would allow the store owner to send a follow up email to the customer and request a review after the customer has received their order.
Dear Sir, Please note that the entire workflow is decided by Google and no app can influence this. Google provides only one place for the customers to opt-in for the Google Survey. Google does not send survey emails if test products are used for our testing so we have to buy normal products in store. There is absolutely nothing shady about the test. Please read the following to understand our point of view. 95% of the reviews received so far displayed below had tests done by us. This is just a small fraction of the tests that we have done. Our Tests include strict procedures so both us and the merchant are not affected in any way. - We use the store address in the Shopify admin for checkout so the product is never mistakenly shipped to us. - We add at the last that this is a test order on all fields. - We also inform the merchants to cancel the order immediately after the test and we ourselves cancel the order whenever possible. - We use 100% discount coupon so we do not have to pay. - We create a free shipping method that only works for 100% discount so we do not pay anything additional. We ask for admin access so we carry out the testing seamlessly. Let me explain the problems of using real payment transactions for testing. - We offer this app at a reasonable one-time fee for a life-time service so we have to restrict unnecessary expenses to provide a proper service to our merchants. - At the start, we made real payments but the refunds we not matching paid amount because the refund amount does not include the currency conversion fees and the cross-border fees that our banks charged us. - Some merchants closed their stores and become uncontactable. - We were losing money.So we have stopped making live payments. We had not received a reply to our email to you so could not complete the test for your website.
