I am having the same experience noted by another reviewer of Shopify's "Google Shopping" app on Aug 26, 2019. He wrote: "I installed it recently and I launched a campaign which is automated of course. However, after the products were approved and the campaign started running there was no information on the admin panel about the amount of ad spend." He then went on to explain he used another app to find out that he was indeed being charged for ads! Using this app, I started an automated campaign 2 days ago and got a message on the admin panel that the ad was approved and active. No more information after that. I sent a message 5 hours ago asking for help through the Shopify "support" button on the Google Shopify app page 5 hrs ago and no reply yet. I can't recommend this app given that I may be spending money but have no idea if I am or how much! I'm going to give Shopify 24 hrs to respond and if it's not fixed, cancel my ad and try a different approach to advertising on Google. This is unfortunate because the Shopify Academy course on using Google for E-Commerce was very helpful for general information. Unfortunately the poor performance of the Shopify Google Shopping app means I'll need to implement Google ads in another way.
