Selling with Grommet has been a good experience and reaches a different audience than what we're able to reach through other channels. We have found that sales "stick" at much higher rates because their customer base is looking for something truly unique, innovative, and well-made as opposed to simply shopping on price. The Grommet team also works tirelessly to support their brands.

The Grommet team is amazing and thoughtful. I’m pretty sure they don’t sleep, because they’re always popping up on social media or in creative emails supporting the brands they feature. I’m so grateful for how hard they work and how much they champion small businesses.

Be very cautious before signing up. This platform forces a 20% discount and then takes a punishing 30% commission—you’re effectively selling at wholesale prices with none of the wholesale benefits. I know of no other marketplace that skims this high. In my data, 82% of customers bought only once, so there’s no lifetime value—just discount hunters. If your business doesn’t require repeat customers, maybe this works; for me, it’s unsustainable. I pressed their team repeatedly for a more reasonable commission and got nowhere. Bottom line: the economics don’t pencil. I was on the platform for a year and a half and gave it a fair shot—the results did not match the promise.
