We believe our customers deserve to know why: A Principled Stand: This app was originally a free tool designed to help disabled individuals and protect small store owners. Following a recent buyout, the "spirit of service" was traded for a pay-to-play scheme. Documentation that was once public is now gate-kept behind forced sales meetings and Calendly invites. Predatory Pricing & Ghost Users: The pricing model shifted overnight from free to a monthly fee plus nearly a dollar per user. We immediately noticed impossible spikes in "widget users"—claiming 700 people were using the tool during periods where our site traffic didn't even come close to those numbers. We refuse to participate in a system that appears to inflate data to justify exploitative billing. Broken Development: Despite marketing "new features" like custom triggers, the software is fundamentally flawed. Even when setting a custom trigger, the original icon remains un-hidable—rendering the customization useless. We believe this reflects a move toward incompetent, outsourced development driven by executive greed rather than user experience. Privacy & Ethics: We suspect these "Free ADA Audits" and tracking widgets may serve as fronts to monitor sites for non-compliance, potentially creating a database for future litigation. We will not allow our site to be a part of that ecosystem. WAR for the ADA: We are choosing human connection over predatory code. We can see right through these tactics, and we choose to exile them from our business.
