It does not work outside of its default URL for Facebook, so I couldn't connect the Facebook page I wanted to draw reviews from. I updated the URL and it just kept spinning and spinning, never creating the review posts.

There was a temporary issue affecting URL validation and review syncing, which may have caused the loading issue you described. The good news is - it has been fixed.
