Kōkua — Accessibility Scanner

Kōkua is an accessibility scanner app for Shopify that helps merchants scan their storefront for WCAG 2.2 AA accessibility issues and provides prioritized fixes for each one. It uses the axe-core engine to check for issues like missing alt text, low contrast, unlabeled forms, and broken heading order. The app is honest about its scope, focusing on machine-detectable issues and offering theme-level fixes for themes or Liquid. However, it does not claim to make users compliant or certified. Kōkua is read-only and can generate an EAA-ready accessibility statement.
