What a fantastic app. I was nervous about setting this up as I’m not very techy but Kyle handled the full thing, start to finish for me. He was quick and very helpful and guided me through it after, if I need to make any changes. A very affordable price too. Would definitely recommend! Thank you.

A useful little app, for a very fair price. Support was quick to answer my questions, and helped integrating the sign-up form into our product template when it didn't work out of the box (probably an issue on our side due to a very old theme).

Gerade gekauft. Eingerichtet, Regel erstellt und läuft ohne Probleme. Ich würde es noch cool finden, wenn man das Popup Fenster (Banner unten rechts) auch via Einstellung, mittig einblenden lassen könnte. Update: in den Settings gibt es die Option dazu, wunderbar.

What an excellent app, this is by far the easiest to close your store while you are away, I had an issue with overlay and contacted support via email, in less then 24 hours Jeff from Magical Apps sorted it out.

Waste of money. App did not stop customers from using cart to checkout.

We need to put our store “Brand Name Lighting” on hold a few times a year. Only for a very short time when we are testing inventory feeds, etc. Shopify gives you two options: 1) Password protect. Not good, as we will loose all the SEO we worked so hard to get and current customers won’t be able to login. 2) Change plan to “Pause and Build”. Problem is that this option did not allow us to put the store on hold right away, only when our current plan expires (almost in a month). Customer support was very good, opening a ticket with the billing department, etc. But we can’t have this hassle every time we need to put our Shopify store on vacation mode. This app was the right solution! Installed in seconds, the owner has video tutorials in the setup section giving you step by step instructions! So easy! Removes the checkout icon from the top of the page and removes the “add to cart” buttons. You can customize everything! Including adding a “vacation mode” custom image, all the text and colors. Very happy with this app! If you need LED lighting and electrical supplies, you go to Brand Name Lighting (https://brandnamelighting.com/). If you need a very good “Vacation” app that works without bugs, you go to Magical Vacation Mode.

While scouring the internet trying to find a good solution for going away for a few days, I learned about Magical Vacation Mode in the Shopify Forums. I certainly am glad that I gave it a try. The app did exactly what I needed it to...let my visitors know that they can look at my items but not purchase until my return. There was also an option for them to request a notification when I reopened. When I installed the app, I quickly received a note from a human asking if I needed help setting it up! While I didn't, it was easy, it was nice that someone was there if I needed them. When I returned, it was painless to go back to selling. I can't recommend this service enough, it solves a problem that enables me to take time off without the worry.

This is exactly what we needed! It allows customers to still browse the store without being able to place an order. I like that the messaging pops up with an email capture, too.

Everything looked good doing it myself but since we are using a vintage Shopify theme, I was unable to do inline messaging. Jeff the developer stepped in quickly and put in some code to really customize our message. Easy to use and implement, would fully recommend for anyone looking for an app to close their store for a brief period.

I cannot believe Shopify does not have a vacation setting, but for a mere $5 per year (that's right, not per month ... $5 per year) this app made it super easy. Actually the tech support made it super easy. I took them up on the offer to set up the app for me with a simple email, and after just a few quick email exchanges they set it all up for me! Could not have been easier. I'm so grateful.

Great option for Shopify owners for vacation mode. With their help, they (Bhanu, Arnold and John) were able to customize my shop so that I didn’t need to put my shop on pause. Now, my store remains active to browse and my checkout is disabled for the period I choose to not take orders. I absolutely love it!

Could not be easier to set up. They achieved what Shopify with all it’s limitless resources couldn’t. A simple vaction mode app.

Not having a vacation option in Shopify, this application solves the problem. John has been a great help in assisting me with every step and solving all my questions. Highly recommend.
