MetaSeek: POS Metafield Search

MetaSeek is a unique app that allows us to leverage metafields in our day-to-day operations at the brick and mortar level with Shopify POS. Metafields are part of our day-to-day ops, and the app allows us to finally integrate this with our in-store ops. There a ton of use-cases and possibilities with metafields, but one stands out for us - being able to see a variant's bin location within the store by surfacing the appropriate metafield. We have quite a few products we store in or behind the registers, and this makes the 'picking' process at checkout more deterministic. Joe has been great to correspond with, clearly knows our pain points as a merchant himself, and has been receptive to our needs and feedback. We're certainly looking forward to leveraging metafields more and more, and MetaSeek will help us unlock this at the POS level.

One of the biggest issues we faced with Shopify POS was the inability to search for a product by its manufacturer part number, which we have stored in product metafields. MetaSeek now allows us to do exactly that, and add those products directly to the cart. We can even use the app to lookup customers by their account numbers (stored in a customer metafield), which is a great additional feature. This app is now vital to our in store business operations.
