It's free, (great!) but never use the app version. Critical functions like downloading heat maps, click maps, and scroll depth maps are broken - the Shopify app iframe blocks them. Worse, there appears to be no way to migrate an app project to a full project on the MS Clarity website to use these functions. If you've installed the app, your only option is to create a new account on the MS Clarity site, manually set up a new project, and run two sets of tracking code (app and full Clarity) in parallel. Then, after 30 days, uninstall the app. If you work for MS Clarity: stop recommending the app, or fix the download limitations. At the very least, warn users here and on the maps help pages. Searching, reading docs, clearing cache/cookies, disabling ad blockers, disabling extensions, trying incognito windows, trying other browsers, getting Claude to analyse JS errors - it's an avoidable waste of time, no?
