We could have saved a lot of trouble earlier on if we had this app. Our company ships heavy steel parts and also deals with an issue where one our SKUs ships out in multiple large boxes. We used to ship out with UPS, but since we were right up against the size limit, one box getting smashed led to a $1775 surcharge and we knew we had to find something else. R+L offered great rates for us but we were skeptical of this Shopify plugin since the reviews were so bad. We got the Standard Plan to provide our customers as many options at checkout (since we ship ~80% residential, sometimes they would like a liftgate). The residential address autodetect feature is a nice touch as well, helps save our customers $50 here and there. There was still another problem, however. We weren't able to get accurate quotes for our multiple box SKUs. We would be able to get an accurate quote for one box going to a certain location, but then we were having difficulty quoting for two boxes going to the same location. Once we found the trick where we could Enable 'Pallets' it made our life a lot easier.... even though we were shipping out in boxes! Creating "pallets" for each of our SKUs allowed us to ship our multiple box SKUs to the same place and receive accurate quotes from R+L! It has saved us a lot of headache. It did take a little bit of time to set up the import of the CSV and to understand the 'Quote Settings' page, but once you do, everything else is easy. Takes about 20 minutes to scroll though the User Guide and it's worth it. Would very much recommend this app, haven't had any interaction with the Customer Support team yet so no comments there. Only wishlist item is an option in the quote settings to add a section for "Appointment Deliveries" + Oversized Dimensions. This isn't that bad though. Once you get one R+L invoice, you know exactly what your rates are for those services and you can compensate for that under the "Markup" column in the CSV you import. 5/5

I can't stand this app. I've had to use it for a couple sites and it's nothing but a headache. My opinion has slowly devolved over 5 years now into despising everything about it. Our current issue is that we pay $25/month for the middle plan. But we can't change a single setting. Every time we try to use the app in any way it prompts us to approve a subscription for the $20/month one, and literally says "replaces your current $25/month subscription". If, in desperation, I click "approve" to go to the lower plan, then the app will just throw errors. I'm so over it. I've reached out with questions to their support before, telling them I've already searched documentation, and they basically just told me to read the documentation. Ugh I can't stand that this is one of the only options we have for our shipping needs, it's so frustrating.

Hi, I'm sorry that the experience you've had with the app is frustrating. I looked at our support desk for any cases that have been opened using the email address associated with this store. There are none. I will open a support ticket for you. Please respond to it with any details that we can investigate. The behavior you describe is not typical. You should be able to change settings without having to re-authorize the app, provided you aren't activating a setting that is reserved for a higher plan.

I have been going thru the 38 Page guide to get the app to work. I have things set up and they have been working with the Company to fix the Freight Calculation issue. Good service and great response to helping get this fixed. I would recommend this

This app is incredible! I can't believe we ran the store for years, manually adding shipping. Such a waste of precious time having to answer shipping quotes all the time. Now the website simply does the work for us. Best of all, we teamed up the LTL app with the Fed-Ex parcel app. They work together and can bundle all items together in one shipping quote. The company is REALLY good to work with. Very responsive, and has fixed a few bugs in our program QUICKLY. Thanks Team!!!
