It is difficult to give them the title of worst customer service ever, but they earned it. I tried for over 6 weeks to get them to cancel my service and refund me my money only to find out in the fine print that they signed me up for a year and that I have to pay for this extremely bad service from now until July 2024. They only thing they automate is your state taxes, the local taxes YOU must do all the leg work yourself which includes a ton of setup in their system every month (or at least every month a new account is needed) them neglecting to tell me this and in fact straight up LIED to me by their salesman caused me to have to pay over $600 in penalities for local taxes. I asked them multiple times, "Will you do the work to pay the local taxes (all the cities and counties) or will I continue to have to manage that?" Their answer, we will take care of everything. BIG FAT LIE! Stay as far from this company as you can. They might be ok for other things, but in my experience with Shopify it has been horrible. I reached out for over 6 weeks trying to reach someone. I submitted support cases and on their website it says "The support case is being managed by email." There was nothing on the website I could click on. They ignored my repeated emails, including new support cases. I was unable to reach anyone by phone. Very, very bad service. You should have to refund my money just for lying to me and not being up front about an annual contract - that was never mentioned.
