Great app. Does what it says (for the most part—see NOTE below). I’ve only tested the Back In Stock feature, which works well under specific circumstances. I haven’t used the pre-orders feature, so I can’t comment on that. The developer is very responsive through the chat system built into the app configuration. Overall, I highly recommend it as a stock notification app. THERE IS AN IMPORTANT LIMITATION TO BE AWARE OF, WHICH WE FOUND OUT THE HARD WAY: The developer confirmed that, at present, this app is not well suited to Shopify Markets stores that operate multiple regions with separate fulfilment centres and do not ship inventory between regions. For example, if a customer in Canada joins the waitlist because an item is out of stock in Canada, they may still receive a back-in-stock notification if inventory is added in another region, such as the UK—even if the UK store does not ship to Canada. As a result, customers can receive back-in-stock alerts for inventory that is not actually available to them. It’s a pity this was not made clear from the outset, as we expended just over 90 minutes of a developer’s time setting this up and testing it, only to discover it’s not suitable for our store.
I delayed starting this app because I didn't know if it would be a difficult process to set it up, but they provided support right away that walked me through the process. It's now up and running in less than 10 minutes, and will save me tons of time notifying customers when stock is back available.
