This is a fairly straightforward way to integrate reviews on our Shopify store, especially because it integrates with Seguno eMail app, which makes it easy to request customer reviews through an email that looks and feels like all the other emails we send to our customers. We downloaded the app while it was still in beta, and setting things up required going back-and-forth a few times with Seguno Customer Support. The process wasn't quite intuitive, and that's why we give the app 4 stars instead of 5. It bears mentioning though that Seguno Customer Support is always very helpful and easy to work with. Another thing needing improvement is that the app allows anyone to leave a review as it doesn't have controls that would prevent those who have not made a purchase on our Shopify store from leaving a review. That is why one has to be very careful with settings for automatic posting of reviews as the only solution to this currently is to disable the automatic posting. For small shops like ours it's not such a big deal to go through all new reviews and verify that purchase was actually made before we approve the review to be published, but we can see where that can be a big problem for stores with higher sales volumes.
We appreciate you using the app during the early release/beta period. When Shopify sunset their product reviews solution, it was important to us to support Seguno customers without losing incredibly import customer reviews. At that time, all of our import tools were configured for that migration, but we’ve now expanded to far more migration options. We also agree that having honest, real product reviews is important to give prospective customers confidence when shopping with you, which is why we automatically link reviews to the customer’s Shopify orders to verify their purchase. Automatic publishing is one of the top concerns we hear about from brands, and we now support automatic publishing controls for minimum rating, verified purchase, confirmed review email address, and if there’s an image or video attached to the review. With our Shopify Flow integration, your customer support can be notified when a review is submitted so you can engage customers quickly for any negative reviews (or send them thank you gifts!) We appreciate you choosing to use the app and providing that early feedback to make the app better. And you know our support team is always happy to help :)
