Sequenzy: Email Marketing, SMS
The reviews for this Shopify App are overwhelmingly positive. Users have highlighted the app's efficiency in saving time and improving workflow. They appreciate the cost-saving feature of being charged per actual email sent, which has resulted in significant savings compared to their previous email system. Additionally, users have praised the app for its fast and simple setup process, quick synchronization of customer data, and easy generation of automated flows. The segmentation feature for targeting customers based on their spending habits or purchase history has also been well-received, leading to an increase in bottom line for some users.
I've been searching for an AI-native email campaign platform for a while and have tested all the major big-name apps. They were either ridiculously expensive at scale or lacked enough tools in the MCP for AI agents to use. Sequenzy is by far the best tool I found. It has a full-functioning free plan that's generous compared to other platforms. And it just simply works if you have a front-tier LLM driving the workflow. I use Claude Code with Opus 5 for my Sequenzy workflows, and the experience has been pretty flawless so far. By way of example, in the LLM capabilities using Sequenzy, other systems I've tried have about 30-60 tools in the MCP; Sequenzy currently has 163! It's like having a functioning comms team when you pair that with a strong LLM. Customer service is very good too; I casually suggested having a few other social media buttons in the email footer template, and 2 days later I got a DM saying they updated the platform and it's been added.
I moved my store's abandoned cart, browse abandonment and price drop over from another platform and they have been running on live orders since. Two things stood out. The abandoned cart email renders the real cart. Actual product titles, actual prices, the real product images from my own CDN, and a working resume-checkout link rather than a generic cart URL. I checked the delivered email rather than a preview. The second one matters more if you drive the app through its API. A write that will not take effect now comes back with a warning telling you exactly what is wrong and which fields are supported. Within a minute of reading one I found a real defect in my own email that had been shipping for weeks: the button and the band behind it were set to the same colour, so the call to action had no visible edge. I could not see it and nothing had errored. I reported two bugs. Both were fixed within days and I verified both on a real send. One thing to know before you start: enabling the web pixel is done in the dashboard, and nothing tells you it is off. Browse abandonment and cart recovery both depend on it, so check it on day one. Small team, quick to answer, and honest about what the product does not do yet.
So far it has been awesome! I have Codex (Chat GPT) running it and it is working really well. Saves me a ton of time and we're getting the workflow really dialed in! I also like that we get charged per actual email sent instead of all of our customers. That is saving us about $400 a month over our previous email system.
Thanks a lot for the review. Glad it's been working well for you
The setup was fast and simple, i think it synced all my customer/product/order data quite fast. Generating the automated flows was also quite simple, and checking the numbers now, it improved my bottom line by about 7% on the monthly. Also i like the segmentation of the users - to target customers by spend, or things they bought.
thanks a lot! Glad it brings value to you
