Reviews Summary
The reviews for the Stape app are a mix of positive and negative feedback. Positive aspects highlighted include excellent support from the team, ease of setting up server-side tracking, affordability compared to other options, and responsiveness of the support team. Users appreciate the app's ability to collect and enrich data, send it to the right channels reliably, and comply with privacy standards. On the other hand, negative feedback revolves around difficulties in configuration without technical expertise, lack of response to uninstallation requests, and challenges in tracking specific events like purchase events and adding ecom data layer or webhooks. Overall, the app seems to offer valuable features but may require technical knowledge for optimal use.

As much as i would love to give it 5 stars, my data layer code isn't working for my custom pixel, it mentions pixel is not subscribed to any customer events and nothing is tracked after add to cart, i am also unable to send webhook test, tried reaching out to support yet to receive a reply. i would appreciate it if someone could reach out and solve my issue as soon as possible
Hello and thank you for your feedback, As far as I can see from the support tickets, your issues have been resolved, if there are still questions remaining - please do not hesitate to raise another ticket. Meanwhile for clarity: 1. Your dataLayer code is working assuming you've copied the provided code directly, it's just that it's not visible in web GTM preview as you are used to due to Shopify technical limitations. You can read more on the matter here: https://stape.io/blog/server-side-tagging-for-shopify#debugging-a-shopify-server-side-tracking-setup 2. The warning about pixel not being subscribed to events is due to there being no explicit subscription in the snippet provided to you, the part with analytics.subscribe(...) can be found in the downloaded java script. You can ignore the warning 3. Hard to comment on webhooks specifically, but in general you need to send them to a correct endpoint, such that you have to configure in your server container to claim those webhooks. Stape Server GTM is difficult to configure without technical expertise, and after multiple attempts, I was still unable to get it working. Although the app is free, I cannot recommend it based on my experience.
