Shopify Bundles

Nice idea. Probably have to wait some years to unlock all the possible features. Hopefully sooner. Not a + user.

App is good in theory. However, there is no possible solution to bundling products that already have their own packaging (ex. 2 boxes, one for each product) and Shopify creating 2 shipping labels since both product box weights are different, It will only create 1 shipping label for the first product listed in the bundle and doesn't make one for the second product in the bundle. I can see this working for a cosmetic brand that will pack their own boxes with products but not with brands that have their packaging pre-existing. I believe it would be as easy as creating 2 bundle SKUs, one for each product in the bundle. I have contacted support multiple times for this feature to be looked into. Frustrating for such an easy fix, would love to see this feature added!

Thanks Shopify for launching this but it needs a lot of work before it works for me. The pricing and weight information doesn't pull through from individual products to the bundle. This means that I have to manually add up the weights and prices associated with the bundle, and if I want to make changes to the weight or price of an individual product that's in a bundle, I have to do it in two locations (i.e. the product and bundle). What's more, there's no option for customers to choose quantity 0 which is odd given that they can choose other quantities. This is really useful for recipe bundles where the customer already has some of the ingredients.

The good: Easy to use and set-up new bundles Displays fine, and the checkout process is really smooth for customers Integrates well with our existing ERP system, and has saved a lot of time vs the workaround we had in place What needs improving Ability to convert existing product into a bundle (helpful for stores who have been using workarounds) Reporting - only the individual products show in reports, but I want to know how a particular bundle has performed. This is critical in my opinion Only works with "online store" - doesn't work with other sales channels. Again this is a big miss as it means bundles can't be shown on Google Shopping etc.

Has limits but does what it says on the tin. Very easy to set up and use... glad to have the added flexibility without having to pay for it. Just need Shopify to remove some of those limits.

In general if offers some nice basic features. Very straight forward bundles can be created smoothly and it's overall very clear for the customer what he gets when buying the bundle. For me there are soooo many features missing: - Dynamic Pricing (Sum up the costs of the individual items of the bundle) and option to add an discount in Currency or % (both please) - Dynamic Bundles/Mix & Match Bundles (Static bundles are fine but what if I wanna offer buy 2 items in category xy to get 10% discount, buy or more to get 15% discount) - When I create a bundle of Product 1 (with color option A & B) and Product 2 (color A&B) why is there a drop down to choose the color instead of the swatches of the individual products? Just like how it's set up on the individual product. So this app is like a start of something with potential. Quiet okay for that and the features it contains work. However, it's definitely not a full alternative to other bundle apps and it needs a lot more features.

Perfect Bundle functionality - works seamlessly, as you'd expect from a native Shopify app/feature.

This is a much much easier option than how I was creating bundles previously, so I am very happy. I would love to be able to export these bundles to Etsy, and for them to be available on other sales channels.

As it is free to use, if you are looking at trying bundles out, I would check it out. It doesn't do as much as I would like it to, but it does allow you to get started with bundles and have it up and running in a few minutes. This is a great, but basic app that will help you increase your sales.

Did this really just create another product...One page at a time? I can see that I can take one variant and combine it with the variants on another page. But all my products have variants. So I don't need to make 20 new product pages for each variant to bundle with the other variants. This clutters up my clean and easy to navigate site. No reason to lie here. We always hope the updates make our store owner lives easier. I can't see this one helping. bummer. I guess I'll keep using the X & Y discount code, which also should allow for a specific price amount discount to make an exact price bundle (only allowing percentages or BOGO free is limiting when you are trying to discount exact amounts.) We still have a ways to go on making bundles easy, what seems to be a very basic option. I'm disappointed.

Seemed promising based on the Shopify announcement, but it's virtually useless for most stores for these 2 reasons as a starting point: 1) It combines the prices of the bundled items with no option to adjust the pricing. My assumption is that most stores would offer some form of reduced price for bundled products. 2) It does not respect the inventory levels of the smallest qty available item in the bundle. In other words, it displays the available qty according to the item in the bundle with the greatest number available. This will lead to over-selling bundles. Maybe in time things will change, but user beware.

So this was rolled out in the SHOPIFY EDITIONS SUMMER 2023! Extravaganza, and shocker, it doesn't work. It is not compatible with our Shopify Plus store and support cannot provide any viable reasons why it is not working. Shopify, please please please make sure the apps are working and compatible with a majority of your customer's store before rolling out and announcing.

Exciting addition to the Shopify App Suite but it requires a lot of work before it is truly usable; - Need to allow conversion of existing parent products into a bundle using Shopify bundle app by just adding the sub product under parent. (Otherwise each previously created bundle needs to be recreated manually) - Ability to set bundles to be locked as one product or to appear in customer cart as individual items subsequently allowing customers to remove some if they want to. (This provides greater flexibility for customers on some types of bundles where they may not want to proceed to checkout if the bundle has for example 1 item they already purchased from us individually in the past, etc.) - Pricing and discounts are no existent, price is pre-determined by sub products under parent. A Sample discount option for the bundle would be helpful in driving sales of those bundles (ie. Save $100 on this bundle compared to purchasing these items individually) *We realise there are apps for this but the whole idea with Shopify Apps is to streamline, not use apps again... - Ability to quick click Collection, Type, Tags, Category, etc. based off products in the sub category products. Otherwise it has to be manually entered again for every single thing. (Eg. if someone purchases a T-Shirt or a T-Shirt bundle it should still be product type T-Shirt) Currently when you create any bundle it is all blank and does not interpret any of the data coming through form the bundles products added. - Ability to carry descriptions of each added bundles product with a menu that the customer can read about each product in columns or expendables. For example if there is 5 products added to a bundle the descriptions carry over for the customer to read about each product individually in that bundle. Product 1, Product 2, 3, 4, 5, etc. Otherwise it all has to be typed again and to be honest in a bundle it would just be way too much info. This way a simple description can be added for each bundle "Check out this T-Shirt bundle and save $100" the rest is expandable, or in columns or something for each product. When selling technical products with specs, etc. this is super important. - Images... Come on. Why is there no quick option to add product images to bundle or not. A good code can save over 1 million users time. We do not want to add images manually for over 1,000 bundles when they are already there. - As others have suggested rules for bundle "Must be in bundle" or "Optional bundle item" would really help. This can be done at product level or as suggested above by us at cart level.

Pretty much useless. Bundles cant be used when creating or editing orders. So if you ever have to create or edit an order for a customer.... you cant. Useless...

Does not work if you have a custom checkout.liquid page. We were really excited about this feature but unfortunately cannot use it. Hopefully, this is only temporary.

Does not go by online store inventory, it adds store and online into one inventory. This makes the inventory incorrect if you have separate warehouses. Otherwise a good idea but it still needs some updates

It would be better and more convenient if we could choose "0" when adding quantity as an option. Hope you add this function as soon as possible

This app is (almost) exactly what we needed. We generally need to bundle two or three products and this app serves its purpose well. It is a very simple approach to the bundle concept. You just pick which products you want to bundle together and this app creates a standalone product with the combination of all the variants from the bundled products. You then treat the new product like any other product in your catalog. I only feel it’s missing one feature to be perfect for me (apart from POS support obviously). I would like it if this app would create a connection from the source products to the bundled product via a custom metafield. That, or any other way so that I could use it to create an upsell in the source product pages. I could go and create the metafield myself and manually connect them but I would prefer if the app did this automatically.

Aargh! It's so close! It would be perfect if I could add a dozen products. Any chance you'll be adding just a few more product slots? If so it'd be an instant 5 stars and I'd implement it immediately.

Earlier in the year we going to another platform to use bundles and have hung around because Shopify were launching this app. (We found all the third party bundle apps caused issues with theme updates.) The Shopify App only does what it calls "fixed item bundles", with options that in reality what you could already achieve just using variants. To make what it calls "mix and match bundles", or just "bundles" to the rest of us it sarcastically suggests that you download a third party bundle app...
