Stockroom ‑ Purchase Orders

Add on to initial review below - upgraded to five stars for a few reasons: 1. Team is very responsive at the moment. Other Devs have been in the past, then service declined as numbers of customers increased but, hopefully they don't follow the pattern. Great service at the moment, though. 2. They've addressed many of my concerns and have deployed more than one improvement since I started working with their App a few weeks ago. Super excited about the ChatGPT and Claude plug-ins! 3. A lot of my initial issues were due to me not reading any documentation so, I started with 3 stars, moved them to 4 and finally settled on 5. Who reads docs anyway? LOL That being said, I really hope we get a filter that allows us to order based on ABC classification. Our catalog is rather large and growing weekly: we don't always want to restock everything, some things are a one time buy so, being able to only restock A and B titles would be extremely helpful. ------- Only been using it for a day but excited to see where the devs take this app. 4 stars for now because the app lacks a few functionalities that would take it from good to great: 1, The predictive restock functionality is pretty decent, but lacks any ability to narrow down your restocks by any criteria. It needs things like being able to narrow down purchase order creation more (all items tagged with, items that sold in the last 7 days, etc.). Right now, it generates purchase orders based on whatever it thinks you need to restock from a Vendor: there is no way to narrow that selection down other than to delete items by hand. 2. Purchase orders are created with 'split' destinations between multiple locations. There is no way to change that destination in the purchase order. 3. There is no 'merge' functionality for multiple purchase orders that arrive as one shipment. Despite these deficiencies in the purchase order functionality, the receiving process is smooth, easy to understand and well guarded against errors. Hoping to come back with an edit to this review with a bump up to five stars.

Great support, willing to help, adding more features! This may be the best option for us to move over from stocky as it sunsets in august. Thanks Stockroom! Look forward to user friendliness updates, and smooth workflow!

Great service, easy to use.

I'm new to Shopify and started right as Stocky was being discontinued, so I went hunting for a replacement and found Stockroom. Purchase orders were the piece I was most intimidated by, and Stockroom made them painless. I build and send unlimited POs to suppliers as clean PDFs, and it handles all the details I didn't know to think about: costs, currencies, lead times, and pack sizes per supplier. When stock arrives I receive it in full or partial quantities across locations, and my Shopify inventory updates in real time. It will even send me Slack messages when my inventory is low. The extremely simple migration brought everything over from Stocky so easily without losing any data. For a brand-new store owner watching every dollar, this is saving me money I don't have. Stockroom took the hardest part of running my shop and made it the part I worry about least. I can't recommend this enough to other Shopify owners.

When we heard Stocky was shutting down we were dreading finding a replacement, but MyWorks literally swooped in and saved the whole ecomm community with Stockroom right on time! Purchase orders sync straight into our accounting without us even having to think about it. Didn’t expect a free app to cover everything Stocky did but here we are!! If you’re an ecommerce store, do yourself a favor and check these guys out. 10/10!!

I can’t believe this app is free. Like many other Shopify sellers, we were using Stocky for PO management. We started looking for alternatives when the discontinuation news hit. We found a few viable options but nothing that could fully replace Stocky at a reasonable price. Eventually we came across Stockroom. There’s a one-click migration option from Stocky that allowed us to set up in just a few minutes without rebuilding our supplier and PO info from scratch, and without losing any historical data. The app not only fully replaces stocky but it solves some issues we had with it through better customisation and demand forecasting. Fully recommend it, especially if you’re coming from Stocky and have been looking for an alternative.

If the end of Stocky has you scrambling for a replacement that doesn't cost almost as much as your monthly POS subscription, Stockroom is the best candidate I've found so far. Unlike Shopify admin's native PO generation, Stockroom allows you to filter by vendor and tags. It's the closest option I've found to my normal workflow in Stocky while still being free. Would rate higher if I could.

With Stocky shutting down, I tried a few options and kept hitting the same wall: either too basic (Shopify's native POs) or it meant managing everything outside Shopify. Stockroom is the first one that actually fit how we work. It suggests what to reorder, and creating a PO from those suggestions is automatic and then I email it directly to the supplier without leaving the app. When stock arrives, we can scan everything in and print labels as we receive.
