Ran it before going live. Wanted to know the store was clean before sending traffic to it. Found a few things in the theme and some metafield gaps I wouldn't have caught on my own. Fixed them before launch. Easier to deal with before you have customers than after!
We deal with a lot of product variation and had been putting off a proper store audit for a while. Eventually ran the scan just to see what it would find. It caught content issues across our product range and some configuration things in the theme we hadn't looked at in a long time. One thing I didn't expect was the Shopify Status integration. When there's a problem on Shopify's end, the app picks it up and notifies us directly instead of us finding out from customers or stumbling onto it ourselves. We had one of those incidents a few weeks after installing and knew about it before anyone reached out. That alone was worth it.
We wanted answers quickly, not another long review process. The scan finished fast and showed us exactly where our store needed attention. The best part for us was turning the report into action. We shared the results with our team, assigned the fixes, and moved on. Store Scanner fits well into how we actually work.
