Synorai EcoCharge is a Shopify App designed for Canadian electronics retailers to automatically add provincial environmental handling fees (EHF) to cart, ensuring compliance with regulations. The app covers all nine provinces with rates verified against official schedules, making it easy for merchants to tag products once and have the correct fee applied automatically. Awesome app! It's been a huge challenge trying to figure out a solution for charging Electronic Handling Fees through Shopify, especially given that they vary from province to province in Canada. This app solved that issue perfectly and avoided the problem of customers being able to remove the fee from their cart (an obstacle that made solving the fee issue much more difficult).
