TCG Importer has been excellent to use so far. The app makes it easy to import products, manage card inventory, and keep my Shopify store organised. It has saved me a lot of time and made the setup process much smoother. Great tool for anyone building a TCG store. Highly recommend.

At the moment I'm giving this a 1* It's expensive It doesn't work I've uploaded one Pokemon set, it's taken me all day to list about 300 cards. The only images are of commons, there are NO dedicated images for HOLO or Reverse Holo, or Cosmos Holo, you have to upload them yourself. The pricing is not up to date, most of my cards are set at the default .99p even though they are showing a higher price on Pulse TCG. There are some benefits to this App, it allows you to assign an SKU and Barcode. but, (there is always a but) Shopify will not generate barcodes, neither will the APP, so you have to generate them yourself and enter them. This APP basically sits on top of the Shopify product file system. The SEO is another bug bear, what it gives you is old SEO, about ten years old, Google will hate it, so you you have to edit every SEO Meta Title and Description, with over 3000 cards, I'm not looking forward to that. So a couple of weeks down the line and I still cannot increase my rating on this APP, the deeper I get into it the more flaws I find. Not all cards are listed, I'm finding a lot have the "Holo" variation missing, this is across all sets, and I'm only working on two so far. The pricing is still the biggest bug bear, I'm getting cards listed at less tha .50p which are on Pokepulse at £1.60, so on top of it being very expensive for the number imports (each card is classed as an import), it's also losing me money on sales. If you are going to put this out at such a high price, it shuold work out of the box, it doesn't it's in Beta mode and will be for UK users for a very long time. Avoid. I'm at the point where I'm going to uninstall, request a refund and advise Shopify to take this down, or at least make the developer tell people it's in BETA mode
Hi, thanks for taking the time to leave such detailed feedback. I'm really sorry to hear your first experience hasn't been what you expected. I'd like to address a few of the points you've raised. Import speed: Importing a large Pokémon set shouldn't take anywhere near all day. We'd really like to investigate why this happened as that isn't typical behaviour. Images: At the moment we rely on the official images available from our data providers. Unfortunately alternate printings such as Reverse Holo, Cosmos Holo and some promotional variants don't always have dedicated images available. We're actively working on improving our image matching and adding support for more variants. Pricing: Prices should not be defaulting incorrectly if pricing data exists. We'd like to investigate your specific store as this sounds like something isn't working correctly. Barcodes: Shopify doesn't automatically generate barcodes through its API, so this is currently a platform limitation rather than something specific to our app. That said, we've had similar feedback and automatic barcode generation is something we're considering adding directly into TCG Importer. SEO: Our SEO fields are automatically generated to give merchants a starting point rather than requiring every field to be written manually. We're also working on significantly improving this with AI-generated SEO, including better titles, descriptions and richer metadata. We state that our app is powered by Pricecharting at this stage and we are going to be implementing more data sources. Just because we don't offer the data you source your cards from, does not mean our data is inaccurate. I'm more than happy to catch up and have a meeting with you to discuss your issues but everything you have stated has been fixed or has been addressed. We also have other subscription models that aren't as expensive as the most expensive package that you have chosen, so to say that it's expensive is a little extreme when you have chosen the highest one. I am updating my initial review after using the app for a while. While the owner is responsive and clearly trying to improve, there is a major drawback: the product database is often incomplete. For example, recent releases like the "Moonlit Tins" were unavailable in the app, forcing me to manually add the products myself. Given the high price of this subscription, having to do so much manual work is extremely disappointing. It feels like a one-man operation that cannot keep up with the demands of the business. I would be happy to revisit my rating if these issues are addressed, but otherwise, I would like to request a refund for my yearly payment.
10/10 I would highly recommend TCG Importer to anyone running a TCG store. Whether you’re uploading small amounts of cards or thousands this app can save you hours of time. Manually adding TCG products to Shopify can be incredibly time-consuming, but TCG Importer makes the process much faster and easier. The app itself is very straightforward to use, and the developers have been extremely responsive to questions and feedback. They’ve also recently released an update roadmap with plenty of new features and improvements planned, which is great to see. For any TCG store looking to upload and manage singles more efficiently, this is definitely an app worth checking out.
