Made in Yugoslavia review for Tinify ‑ Image Optimization

cannot recommend this app. After installing it and connecting my Tinify API, the app compressed my images, but it also changed the order of product images across many of my Shopify products. In addition, newly uploaded images are automatically moved to the end of the product gallery after being processed, creating a significant amount of unnecessary manual work. Although I had “Keep originals” enabled, the app replaced product images with optimized copies, and the changes affected my Meta (Facebook & Instagram) catalog and Product Ads. I am now trying to restore hundreds of affected product images and their original order. I contacted the developer for support, but I did not receive a response. I also contacted the official Tinify support, who confirmed that this app is not developed, owned, or supported by Tinify, even though it uses the Tinify name and API. That was extremely confusing as a customer and led me to believe it was an official Tinify app. Overall, this has been a very frustrating experience. I would strongly advise merchants to be cautious before installing this app, especially if they have a large product catalog.
