TrueTag: Verify & Warranty is an app developed by OuttaApps that gives every unit a unique QR code to prove its genuineness and display the customer's warranty. It addresses the issue where Shopify tracks SKU quantity, not individual units, making it difficult for buyers to confirm product authenticity and warranty status on a per-unit basis. TrueTag allows products to be marked as serialized, assigning unique serial and QR codes to each unit, which can be generated automatically upon order fulfillment or in bulk/by hand. The QR codes lead to a branded page that verifies the item's authenticity, displays product details, serial number, and warranty status without revealing buyer information.
