Reviews Summary
Upfront: COD & Partial Payment app helps reduce RTO by collecting advance deposits on COD orders. It allows merchants to set rules on how much to collect based on cart value, customer type, specific products, or delivery location. By collecting a small advance before confirming COD orders, merchants can decrease fake orders and failed deliveries. Customers committing upfront payments are more likely to accept delivery. However, there are not enough reviews to analyze at the moment.

I sell motorcycle helmets and riding accessories from my store in Mumbai. Anyone doing COD in India knows the RTO problem - people order expensive helmets, then don't pick up or cancel at the door. We were losing money on shipping both ways. Upfront solved this properly. When a customer clicks COD, they get a nice breakdown - cart total, advance amount, any fee, and what's remaining on delivery. Everything is transparent so there's no back and forth with customers asking "why am I being charged?" They see it all before confirming. Installation was dead simple, I'm not a tech person and I had it running in under 10 minutes. The rules engine is flexible too - I set different advance amounts for orders above ₹5000 vs smaller ones. Genuine buyers don't mind paying ₹200-300 advance on a ₹3000 helmet. The fake orders just stopped coming. Great app, does exactly what it says.
