I recently installed the "ValueFirst SMS App" on my Shopify store in the hopes of enhancing customer engagement through WhatsApp. However, my experience with this app has been nothing short of frustrating and disappointing. The first issue I encountered was immediately after installation. Instead of being directed to a user-friendly setup process, I was redirected to the developer's website. This was a confusing start, as I expected a seamless onboarding process within the Shopify platform itself. Upon reaching the website, I was left in the dark about how to activate the app. The lack of clear instructions or a user guide made it extremely challenging to understand how to get the app up and running. This left me feeling frustrated and confused. I attempted to seek assistance by reaching out to the provided email address on their website. Unfortunately, my attempts to contact them via email proved fruitless, as I received no response. This level of unresponsiveness was incredibly frustrating and left me with a sense of abandonment as a customer. To further aggravate the situation, I decided to use the Shopify app's built-in support feature to contact the developer for help. Unfortunately, I received no reply through this channel either, which is not only disappointing but also unacceptable. In conclusion, my experience with the ValueFirst SMS App has been a complete letdown. The app's outsourcing of the activation process to an external website, the lack of responsiveness to email inquiries, and the absence of support through the Shopify platform are all major red flags. It's disheartening to see Shopify allowing such apps with subpar customer support and a lack of proper integration into their platform. I would strongly advise potential users to steer clear of this app, as it is a time-consuming and frustrating endeavor.
