The Waldschutz mit Planted app allows ecommerce merchants to offer their customers the option to protect forest areas in Germany through their purchases. Customers can easily contribute to protecting a specific area of forest in Germany instead of planting trees with each order or product they buy. This initiative helps combat climate change by safeguarding natural forests, providing habitats for rare species, and storing CO₂. The protected forest area is left undisturbed and secured through a contract.
