Zeelar review for Address Validator AddressHero
Does what it's meant to do 95% of the time. However, it screws up so completely at a high enough frequency that I'm forced to manually check every one of it's amendments, which is a huge drain on time. If I make 30 sales I'll have to reverse at least 2 - 3 of the changes this app has made. I have screenshots of all the strange things this app has done to delivery address. Some of them include: 1. Completely changing the address as though it's just hallucinated the data 2. Placing the number at end of the street name (opposite of what it's meant to do) 3. De-capitalising the street names i.e. turning a correctly entered "John Street" to "john street" - again the opposite of what it's meant to do 4. Weirdly splitting things over the first and second address lines. For example turning "30 John Street" into "30 John Street" 5. It automatically writes abbreviations as their full word (e.g. "St" becomes "Street") which is good most of the time but sometimes that can make it revert to a less common spelling e.g. "St Leonards-on-Sea" was auto changed to "Saint Leonards-on-Sea" (not a big deal with that example but others are more problematic) Before I started manually checking all the alterations it makes, this app forced me to send a replacement order and muck around for hours with a customer because she never received her item. After a lot of searching to figure out what had gone wrong I realised it was AddressHero which had taken a correctly entered address and completely hallucinated a new address. I believe this app is made by some people in Germany so perhaps some of the rules which are causing issues with English street addresses work better with German address / grammar, I'm not sure. All my shipments are sent to the UK.
