SEO HERO AI Alt Text Generator

I wasn't sure what to expect from this app and had moderate expectations. I signed up for the Free plan to test it out and was actually *quite* pleasantly surprised with its abilities. This review is based on my experience with the free plan and will be upgrading to a paid version to access additional features. I will be sure to update my experience once done testing that out as well. UPDATE: I still enjoy this app, but downgraded from 4 to 5 stars due to some simple functionality updates that the developers should include that would make this much better for its users: 1. Quickly accessing newly uploaded photos is a pain. Adding alt text via the app for newly uploaded products is difficult (when not every single one of the photos on your website has alt text via the app). Addition of a way to filter photo or arrange them so that newest photos are at the top would save a ton of time. 2. To edit the generated alt text you need to go into the product, find the image and manually edit it. Allowing one to edit the ai-generated alt text from directly within the app would, again, save a ton of time and be so much more efficient.

This app does a pretty good job, you can customize the criteria you want and the words and terms you want included, and it goes and does it. Saved lots of time!

We noticed that our product images were lacking of Alt text and this was having an impact on SEO. We tried a few solutions, but then we decided to use this App because it combines a very user-friendly interface, with a very powerful AI-based core system. The 'bulk edit' feature is just a life safer, and we were truly impressed for the level of accuracy and detail that the App had when editing more than 800 images all in one go. Highly recommended!

Good app aut. generating ALT texts

This app is exactly what every Shopify store owner needs. We had hundreds of product images without alt text, and within minutes it identified the gaps and generated clean, accurate, SEO-friendly alt text across the entire store.

I have generate over 5,000 alt texts for my images. I transferred my site over from Wix and the alt text did not come over. I was kind of panicking - then I came across this app. The descriptions are better than what I was writing. I still create them as I add images - but I don't worry if I forget or don't write good ones. This app will also go back and clean up the older descriptions as well.

Just downloaded but was able to easily change 50 test alt images very easily. Very happy!

Really good Customer Care Team and good App :)

The app works for small alt text edits and for bulk changes up to about 150 images. Beyond that it becomes unreliable. it takes to loo long more than hours and does not run in the background reliably. Credit renewals are not transparent and no renewal date is shown. Support has been unhelpful and did not follow up on my questions.

Amazing app, I've tried several other alt text generator apps but this one came out best :). What I really like is that you can make a combination of the product title AND a descriptive text about the image through the AI image analyzer, so it works best for SEO and accessibility. There are several other settings you can adjust, like the length of the text, tone of voice etc. Overall very happy!

Super helpful app, with excellent customer support! We needed to create alt text for almost 40k images on our site. Mike was readily available and helped troubleshoot the few issues that did come up due to the huge number of images we were trying to run through. I think it was the most they had processed at once, but they got it done, all while checking in to make sure we liked the results that were generated. Very handy to be able to customize the tone/feel of the text being generated. We purchased credits in bulk after discussing with Mike, and will be subscribers going forward for new images added. Highly recommended!

SEO Hero has been an invaluable tool for my store. I use it to automatically generate alt text for all my product images, and it’s saved me countless hours. The AI is accurate, fast, and consistent. On top of that, customer support has been incredibly helpful and responsive any time I had a question. Highly recommend if you care about SEO and accessibility.

Amazing app, generate accurate alt texts for best price in the market. Also have multilanguage feature that helped a lot. Support was 10/10 also, solve any issues within an eye blink.
