I’ve only been using this app for a short time, but so far I’m really impressed. The installation was smooth, the interface is intuitive, and most importantly the features it offers are exactly what I needed. What stands out most is the support — every time I had a question or needed help with configuration, the support team responded quickly, clearly, and was genuinely helpful. That level of customer service makes a big difference.

I installed the Alt Text King app expecting it to handle variants properly, since the description clearly suggests you can use {{ variant }} in templates. In reality, it only works for a single “main variant image.” If you want full functionality for variant alt text, you’re pushed to install and pay for their other app (Variant Image). This feels misleading. The app is advertised as if it supports variants, but in practice it does not unless you buy an extra add-on. When I raised this, support tried to upsell me the second app, then offered a “6 months free” deal after I called it out. Alt Text King is incomplete on its own. If you need proper variant support, you’ll end up paying more. Not what I expect from a professional Shopify app provider.

The app was incredibly straight forward to use, I had one query around could we add in our own fields into the template section. Whilst sadly I wasn't able to do this Nikhilesh was very quick to respond to my question, and has added the the field into feature requests.

Great plugin! It can automatically generate alt texts, and the team responds very quickly. I accidentally overwrote the alt texts I had manually added, and the team quickly helped me recover the previous texts. I’m so grateful!
