This is not a trustworthy company. I installed this app via Shopify, but never initiated a free trial. Instead, I emailed back and forth with their support and they agreed to give me a much longer 45 day trial. This was not through shopify, but through the app developer directly. They NEVER stated they would begin charging me automatically after the 45 days were over. I have the full email thread as evidence. There is no gray area here. They never stated this. I did not realize they were charging me ($449 per month!) for 2 months. When I realized 4 days after the 2nd charge, I contacted them. They refused to refund me. They said the charge was processed through Shopify and they could not do anything. Howeve, this was abolutely not true. I contacted Shopify support and they confirmed the the charges were NOT processed through Shopify. I again contacted this developer and they again refused to do anything about this. I never provided credit card information directly to this developer. NEVER. This means the app developer utilized credit card info from Shopify to illegally charge me directly. I have informed American Express and they will be investigating. I also plan to escalate this issue with Shopify. Shopify should not allow app developers to leverage credit card information from Shopify to charge separately. This should be illegal. Let's hope a company this shady is not allowed to continue providing services for Shopify.

We extended your free trial to 45 days—well beyond the standard trial period—to give you additional time to evaluate the platform. As with all trials, the subscription automatically begins at the end of the trial unless canceled beforehand. This information was clearly displayed on the payment confirmation page when activating the extended trial, including the exact date and amount of the upcoming charge. Regarding the billing, all charges were processed through Shopify as part of your app subscription. We (or any other Shopify vendor) do not have direct access to or control over billing outside of Shopify’s system, nor do we store or process payment details independently. Shopify handles all app charges via their platform, and any concerns regarding billing can be further verified through Shopify Support. While we were unable to process a refund, we offered to credit your payments toward a future plan and provide an additional two free months when you're ready to move forward. We understand this may not have been the resolution you were hoping for, but we stand by our policies and remain open to working with you in the future should you decide to continue using BeProfit.
