Wow!! I absolutely love this app!! it's been so helpful! I have been dealing with an obsessive customer who keeps purchasing from my on line shop using different name but same address claiming they never recieved their package. I was finally able to use the IP Address Blocker so this same fraudulent customer can no longer purchase from me. I highly recommend this app if you're an e-commerce store owner and are tired of bums stealing from you.

I genuinely didn’t want to leave a negative review, but this experience has left me no choice. I installed the app on November 6th to block bot traffic from China using VPNs—specifically from the US and Seychelles. Initially, everything seemed to work fine. However, by November 9th, I noticed Seychelles appearing in my abandoned checkouts, which was strange given that I had blocked the country. All other blocked countries were showing as successfully blocked, except for Seychelles. I contacted support immediately. A developer responded, explaining, "we are actively investigating an issue on our end where blocked visitors are indeed getting blocked, but their abandoned checkout is still getting mistakenly logged by Shopify as an abandoned checkout because they are still at checkout, getting blocked. We are actively working on a fix that should be deployed shortly for that problem." The response did not make much sense to me since all other blocked countries were being blocked by their app. They also advised I enable Shopify’s email verification at checkout—knowing it might deter genuine customers. Despite this, the issue persisted. The bots began using valid, generic email addresses. I followed up again and was asked to grant store access to the dev team, which I did and confirmed. It’s now been three business days with no update. Meanwhile, the Seychelles bot continues to create abandoned checkouts, skewing my store analytics. Support is reading my messages but choosing not to respond. I can only assume they’re struggling to resolve the issue and don’t have a fix. Still, a status update—even if it’s not a solution—would be appreciated. I’ll wait another 24 hours for a response. If I don’t hear back, I’ll initiate a chargeback for the amount paid and delete the app while I search for a more reliable and consistent alternative.
Hi Esther, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience - we value every review on our app - especially those that highlight place for improvement. I completely understand how stressful it is to see unwanted bot checkouts appearing in your analytics, especially when you’re actively trying to block that traffic. We take your feedback seriously and are improving how we handle follow-ups during active investigations. To clarify what happened: your store ran into a timing issue (“race condition”) between Blocky’s checkout blocking mechanism and the Abandoned Checkout logging system. Blocky *did block* those visitors, but they were still auto-logged their checkout attempt as an abandoned checkout, before Blocky could update the entry to “Blocked by Blocky.” This made it appear as though the traffic wasn’t being blocked, even though it was. Our team is already working on a fix that will adjust the timing so Shopify completes its logging first, allowing Blocky to properly mark these checkouts as blocked. This fix is being finalized now, and I will update you personally as soon as it is deployed. Thank you again for your patience and for giving us the opportunity to resolve this. I've also contacted you privately via email with additional details. :-) – Shahar

Outstanding responsiveness and technical support; easy to install and use; an excellent tool for us to seamlessly block and/or redirect traffic of specific origin, whether individually or countrywide. With Blocky we're able to quickly identify and block the source of suspect traffic spike/bot anomalies, and the occasional scammer gambit. Blocky hums along in the background without issues, greatly valued by those of us who have neither the time nor the resources to be constantly monitoring or finessing finicky apps. We are highly selective in deploying apps, and Blocky is one of only a few that we do use, and we'll likely also be adding their Terms & Conditions app based on our experience with this Blocky app.
