PreCom ‑ coming soon preorders
The reviews for this Shopify App are quite mixed, with both positive and negative feedback from users. Positive aspects include excellent customer service, ease of use, and quick response times from the support team. Users appreciate the coming soon button feature and the ability to customize the app to suit their needs. However, there are also negative aspects highlighted in the reviews, such as issues with the pre-order functionality causing overselling, problems with inventory tracking, and difficulties with uninstalling the app. Some users experienced challenges with the app not syncing inventory properly and allowing customers to purchase items that were supposed to be 'coming soon'. Despite these issues, the app received praise for its functionality and responsiveness of the support team.
Using "coming soon" feature somehow turned on the "sell when product is out of stock" option on my listings, costing me a lot of credit card fees and frustrated customers when I had to refund the orders, since I sell one-off items. This happened on two of my product drops.
Strongly recommend this app for the coming soon button however the pre order element, has been devastating- it places orders on hold within Shopify with no clear built in feature to remove them - we had to build a custom flow which i believe is only on shopify plus, and does not sync inventory - we have had thousands of orders now oversold due to this app, please proceed with caution on the pre order element, like i said the coming soon button works excellent - the pre- order element, I strongly suggest being very careful.
The customer service team is very helpful, I highly recommend this app, it works very well and if you want to customize it , they are open to assist on this.
We've been using PreCom and their pre-order app for 3 years. Every time we've installed it (we only use for 2-3 week long pre-order campaigns) we're impressed at the stability of the app and how it integrates. Most importantly, though, we're consistently impressed at how Magda and Adam (and the rest of Gravity) are always on their game and super quick to get any problem sorted. For what they do, these guys are the best.
Really great customer service, we had some issues to start with and some customisation requests - Magda helped us with everything. Now everything runs smoothly. Very happy with this app.
