Commentify: Customer Comments
The Commentify app has received mostly positive reviews from users. Users appreciate the app's functionality, ease of use, and quick response times from the support team. The ability to auto-email commenters when someone replies, collapsable threads, markdown formatting, image upload, and upvote/downvote features are highlighted as valuable. The support team is praised for their efficiency, quick solutions, and going above and beyond to assist users with their needs. However, there are some concerns raised about the requirement for commenters to log in, which can create friction against engagement. Some users also wish for more customization options.
One of the best comment apps, but with one caveat: commenters must log in (via Shop account or email). Clicking "add comment" opens a new tab prompting user to log in to your store. You could enable the anonymous option, but they won't get reply alert emails if don't login/register. This increases friction against engagement. However, I like: -Can use with FlowMail (from same dev) and Shopify Flow to auto-email commenters when someone replies. (new feature Feb 2026) -Supports collapsable threads, markdown formatting (hyperlinks, bolding, etc), image upload, upvote/downvote. -Supports import/export comments. Though import is handled by dev and costs $49.99 one-time fee. Some other apps allow importing CSV at no cost, but you'd need to format it correctly yourself.
