I discovered a discrepancy between what’s achievable in the actual app and what is shown in their demo account. I reached out to ask if they could help me replicate the look of the demo account. Within 24 hours, I received a response from Dave in Australia, who explained that due to the new customer accounts using passwordless login, this setup is not possible. This means the demo account is misleading, as it showcases features or a setup that cannot currently be replicated by real users. It feels like a bait-and-switch tactic to entice subscriptions, which is disappointing and unacceptable.
Thanks Rene, and sorry for the confusion - our app works on both Shopify’s new passwordless and legacy customer accounts. The demo you saw runs on our legacy version and remains fully usable if you’re on Shopify legacy customer accounts. I’m sorry for the misunderstanding and that Dave didn’t explain this clearly - he’s very sorry about that. Dave, our head developer, stepped in to handle support while I (Ezra) was away. We’d just released our new account-page version which is compatible with both Shopify legacy and new customer accounts and hadn’t yet updated the demo; it took us a few days after launch, so I apologize for the delay on that and the confusion it caused.
