Had issues with shopify/etsy sync after an in-person event. When I updated inventory in shopify post-event, it would not sync inventory with etsy. A quick chat with tech support and they manually synced inventory. They were super patient with me during my own computer hardware issues and very helpful with my questions. To help future folks (myself included), you must take your etsy shop off vacation mode before you make updates in shopify! But if you forget, contact DPL, and they will help.
