I genuinely wanted to like this app, but the experience so far has been incredibly frustrating. The free tier is practically useless for any actual merchant. You get a tiny handful of credits - nowhere near enough to test if the resizing algorithms actually work properly across a real product catalogue. I managed to do a few photos before immediately hitting the paywall, and now my store looks worse because only half of a single collection is resized. How are we supposed to know the paid version is actually worth the money if we can't properly trial it? It feels like you are forced to buy it blind. Unless you only have a handful of products, do not bother downloading this on the free plan - it is just a waste of time. I would need to see it actually handle a proper batch of images on my store before I would ever consider a paid subscription. Right now, it is a one-star experience.
Hi Luxworth, We understand the frustration and would like to clarify for anyone reading: * The free plan includes 100 image credits, intended to test resizing on a portion of images * In this case, all resize-related processing had already been completed using the available free credits * The partial result occurred later when running a new “Edit File Name” task, which was interrupted due to the credit limit, so only part of that task was completed Because of this, it may appear that only part of the collection was updated (such as file names), rather than a complete change across all items. We also provide a preview option to review expected results before applying changes. If needed, changes can also be reverted from the task list. As image processing involves real compute and AI costs, the free credits are provided in limited amounts for trial purposes. We appreciate your understanding. If you need help finishing the remaining tasks or setting things up more efficiently, feel free to reach out — we’re here to assist. Best regards, Sam VF Image Resizer+ Team
All my pictures were chopped in half and I cannot seem to get them back to where they were when I started.
We have reached out to this user via email but have not received a response. Our records clearly indicate that the images were cropped before being processed by our app. It is possible that the user may have used another app prior to using ours which cropped the images.
Update: BEWARE -- this app corrupted my image files and changed colors. We're a jewelry store and many of our green pieces turned black. Blue pieces turned white. It was hard to notice at first but when we realized we saw that the resize function changed colors on almost all of our images. HUGE issue for us. We restored our store to 1 day before we did cropping with this tool and images went back to normal. Very easy to use and does everything we need!
does not work and has just created more work for me to return the images back to the previous size. I have blue boxes around some images, some have dropped. Very weird and looks worse.
This review is not objective. Our app just did what it's asked to do. Changes can be previewed before the actual modification, and everything can be restored with one click after the modification.
