A1: back in stock | sms alerts

We've been using the Back in Stock app for a few months and it works great! It's helped us collect data and see at a quick glance what our customers are interested in. It's allows us to quickly and effectively generate sales based on the auto responder to subscribers once we've restocked items. Plus, their customer support is awesome. I reached out to see if they could implement their button into our theme for a clean and streamline look, which they did. We definitely recommend this app!

Terrible communication and customer service. Pushed out an update earlier this week, which seemed to break the app. Whenever we tried to get through, it would either give a 501 error, say that there is an "Internal Error", or just never load. Contacted customer service both on email and their phone line -- the phone line was no help, and on email it seemed like they didn't even read it as their "solution" was something that was not related to our problem at all. All of this happened a day before we had a big launch, and caused a negative impact to our business because 1.) we were driving users to sign up for the upcoming products, and they obviously couldn't and 2.) for all the customers that had previously signed up, we couldn't send email notifications out to. We had contacted our Shopify customer service managers, who then contacted the app developers, but all they got from this team was that the app was working fine. With such half-hearted help we will be looking for a new app.

Great app would strongly recommend as shopify checkout is only possible if someone knows to go to check out at top of your store. But wish I could choose my Font. They do offer to change the font for you it is just hard to imagine what it will look like.

Good price value compared to the other apps. I have been using this app for about a year, when something happen and the In Stock Reminder was slowing down and preventing the entire page from loading. I e-mailed then once and was told that I need someone to look at the shopify end of the page. I e-mailed them a second time and they fix the issue and it works great. I didn't really understand their display option at first, as they need some better training video, but I now have everything dialed in to where I want it.

It has helped us tremendously! increased sales, and allows us to know how to order going forward. Highly recommend this for small to medium online businesses. Lisa Edit: We originally gave a 5-star review, but after using this app for quite some time, we need to change to 3. The app has changed to notifying customers on an arbitrary 4-hour cycle. We have some products that come in limited quantities, and most sell out before the app can send out the emails. This has led to many unhappy customers, who were looking forward to receiving an email about a product, only to receive the email hours after the product had sold out.

We have been using this app for our store less than 1 week and already have stock requests for over 50 items/customers. This has helped us to determine what items we should restock. The app is so very easy to use and the email template is quite simple. Thanks!

Our customers LOVE the "notify me when it's back in stock" feature. We love the ability to export data to csv. Well done!

It's a great app and most importantly it saves the most important thing we have... time! We used to get customer calls all the time asking, 'when will XXX' be back in stock and then we had to make a note of the customer's e-mail address and remember to let them know. This app saves all that hassle and we're amazed at how many customers have signed up to be notified. Far more than ever would have phoned us. We've also seen a real upsurge in sales as soon as the new stock arrives because the e-mails go out automatically to customers who are obviously waiting but we wouldn't have known. Automation, efficiency and maximising sales opportunities are the key to successful e-commerce and this app really helps on all fronts!

This has been one of the easiest apps we have installed and used to date! I was able to custom design (VERY EASILY!!) the pop-up window to match our theme, too.

A great app for allowing customers to sign up to be notified when a product is back in stock. Saves us time in having to answer emails asking about out-of-stock items. I only wish that the language in the templates was written in better English.

I personally love this app! Our customers use it frequently because we sell out so darn fast due to high demand. It kind of builds up an anticipation when customers know when the product is restocked. Sales skyrocket the day of restock because the customers that have been waiting a long time immediately purchase once they receive the notification. Also, the app has been an incredible tool to see which items are highly in demand. I can track which customers are requesting which items the most. I'll tend to restock the items that are in most demand based off the in stock reminder app. We have had thousands of customers use this feature and glad I've implemented it into the store. The only criticism that I have for the actual app is the email notification the customer receives when the product is back in stock. The email is very generic looking and not really customizable. It doesn't feel personal or in tone with the brand I've created.

So glad to be able to offer notification emails for restocked products. We have saved a bunch of sales that we would have lost without this app! Customer support for the app is what drove me to submit a review, though. They were quick to respond, and the customization work we needed done was complete in three business days - a fantastic turnaround time when you consider the back and forth of emails and the difference in time zone. Their prompt, helpful attitude made it a *really* pleasant experience.
