Kaktus Slide Cart is incredibly predatory. The app makes it seem like disabling it will stop the charges, but it keeps billing you in the background. The “disabled” screen gives no warning, it only shows subscription options, giving the impression that your account is inactive. The only way to actually stop being charged is to uninstall the app entirely, and they refuse to issue refunds even after you realize what happened.

We’d like to clarify that app charges are managed through Shopify’s subscription system. Disabling the app inside the dashboard does not automatically cancel the subscription — the billing is tied to the active subscription, not the widget status. To fully stop charges, app must be uninstalled. That said, we completely understand how this can be confusing, and we’re actively working on improving the messaging inside the app. We never intend to mislead merchants, and your feedback helps us improve both our product and communication.
