I started using Media Cleanup - Scan & Delete for my store journeymusthaves.com a short while ago, and it is such a help in cleaning and tightening up the process outcomes of image and text additions to my store. I think all of its features are that you cannot do without them if you want to optimise the look and running of your online business that depends on range of marketing reach and product image efficiency. It is very easy and quick to use and leaves the owner valuable time to update, to continue to create and promote their product and or service.

"Great app! Easy to install and set up. It scanned my entire store and found 1,882 unused files taking up 616MB of storage. The dashboard is clear and simple to use. Highly recommend for anyone wanting to clean up their store files.

Hello, I am writing to express my indignation with your application's performance and "support" We are tired of repeating this and you haven't solved this problem in almost a month. Either you solve the problem once and for all within the next 24 hours or we will take legal action against your company and ask Shopify to remove you from the Shopify apps. I had spent weeks of my time optimizing my photos page by page, and yesterday afternoon I was almost finished. My photo storage showed that I had reached 58GB of space out of the initial 94GB I had when I installed your app. What I saw this morning drove me crazy – the storage now shows 94GB again in your app, and all my time and days optimizing were undone in an instant. Why? We are tired of repeating this and you haven't solved this problem in almost a month. Either you solve the problem once and for all within the next 24 hours or we will take legal action against your company and ask Shopify to remove you from the Shopify apps. This will also be reported to the entire global community on all social networks and review sites. This is our final friendly warning... Best
Hi BuySalesMy team, We need to correct this publicly for the rest of the merchant community: No files were deleted, reverted, or modified by our app We do not download or overwrite your images Your work was not undone by us The actual issue (confirmed by Shopify Support): Your store exceeded storage limits due to stale assets, so Shopify silently blocked file updates. This makes it appear as if optimizations were lost — in reality, Shopify never applied them. For the community: We have provided continuous support, shared detailed technical explanations, stayed in constant email communication, and worked directly with Shopify to resolve this. All evidence is publicly available below. We have explained this multiple times and continued to assist, however we do not appreciate the repeated threats of legal action despite full transparency and ongoing support. I’ve been using Media Cleanup while working on my Shopify store and it’s been really helpful for keeping my file library organized. It’s surprising how quickly unused images and files start to pile up when you’re building a store, so having a way to identify and clean those up is great. One thing I really like is how clearly everything is laid out on the dashboard. It’s super easy to see which files are being used and which ones aren’t, and where they’re connected in the store. The bulk actions work great, and I especially like that deleted files go to a trash folder first (for up to 30 days) instead of being permanently removed right away. Having some time to restore something if it gets deleted by mistake gives a lot of peace of mind. I’ve also shared a little feedback while testing the app and the developer has been very responsive and open to suggestions, which I always appreciate. Overall it’s been a really useful tool and I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a simple way to manage and clean up their Shopify file assets.

Finding and removing thousands of unwanted duplicate images was a hassle, until I found this app. It has been very useful in tracking down unused images, selecting them and removing them in batches. The developers even changed the batch limit for me from 100 to 1000 files a time, to make sure the process was quick and easy. Much appreciated tool and very helpful people.

Not working at all. May be a virus. I could not remove it from my store. I will send a complaint to Shopify if you do not remove this virus from my store.
Hi there, I'm truly sorry to hear you had a frustrating experience with Media Cleanup. As the developer, I take concerns like this very seriously. I've thoroughly reviewed your store's activity logs and can confirm that the app did not make any changes to your store — no files were scanned, modified, or deleted. It appears you may have navigated away from the app while the scan was initializing, which can make it seem like the app isn't working. Media Cleanup is a legitimate Shopify-approved app that helps merchants identify and clean up unused media files. It cannot access or modify anything without your explicit action. Our records show the app was successfully uninstalled from your store on January 23rd, so it is completely removed. I'd genuinely like to understand what went wrong and make it right. Please reach out to me directly at [email protected] and I'll personally assist you. My sincere apologies for the poor experience. Media Cleanup Developer
