Overall, Mega Animated Announcement Bar gets the job done. I especially like the multi-language support (I run a bilingual store) the announcements switch depending on the visitor’s locale. The only downside is I ran into a bit of trouble choosing solid colors (the gradient control was unintuitive at first), but the developer helped me via support quickly. Would recommend.

this app sucks, why should I only choose gradient
Hi, Thanks for your feedback. The option to choose a gradient is actually designed so you can use both solid colors and gradients. If you'd like a solid color, just select the same color for both sides of the gradient - this will display as a single solid background. All customization options are built inside Shopify's theme extension, and we're limited to the controls Shopify provides. We chose the color_background controller because it supports every scenario in the most reliable way. This app is a great tool for adding eye-catching scrolling messages on my store. It’s easy to customize with links, emojis, and multiple languages. The flexible placement options really helped highlight my promotions. It works smoothly with my theme and didn’t slow down my site at all.
