I tested my load time after I used this application and it was exactly the same--using https://testmysite.thinkwithgoogle.com/. I did not get the value I thought I would for what I paid.

this app compressed all our images but distorted them in the process. now we have to upload all our images again and replace the ones this app distorted. i would NOT recommend this app. very annoyed.

Shit app. Can't see what is being 'optimised' until after you pay. My optimisation ended up being about 50 images that could save 1-5kb... Dev also doesn't respond...

Absolutely no support from developers. Ran the script, ruined over 1000 images on the site. Cannot get in touch with them for how to undo the issue as they refuse to respond. Do not use this service. There are better options.

App not as described. Does not achieve 30% reduction of photos. In my case, an average of less than 12% reduction, which I found out only after paying. Tech support very slow to respond (days and days). They offered to refund my payment b/c I felt they drastically misrepresented their product, but never heard back. Would not recommend at all.

I attempted to contact Support at Minifier before posting this, but after waiting over a week without any response, I'm going ahead with this review. Minifier touted its features well and even when processing our images for our Shopify store it appeared to be doing all it promoted. However, we ran a Google Page Speed test immediately before and after and Google still recommends image optimization. We saw a 1 point improvement in our Google scores, even though Minifier reported up to 80% savings in file sizes. I just don't see any value in this product. We'll try something else.

I don't see any speed increase in google speed test. Still the same. 25 down the drain. Wao..some more now i need to re-upload all the pic..the pic.. haiz.. should banned this app

for image size reduction there was no difference made at all in the size of my images, though it said it would be about 8% smaller. The best thing this app does is rename your image files. that is actually worth the price of the app, though that's not what i wanted it for. if it would allow you to use a template to control the renaming of the image files that would be great! for file size reduction, this is not what you are looking for. it doesn't offer any control over the amount you reduce the image size nor does it allow you to restore your original images. Again, if you want to rename your image files its ok, but doesnt give you control of the names.

The paid 'theme images optimizer' actually increased (so did not decrease as promised) the load time reported by Google Insights.

I used your product for my website https://dresslikemommy-com.myshopify.com and after checking on google speed test I notice no difference. I want my money back. This does not work! I was supposed to have optimized all the images from my website. Well that is not what google says!!!! It made no difference to my image quality - also, I was advised by a shopify guru that this is a free app but it isn't so please be aware that you will be charged per image.

As for an automated system and the app it seems quick and useful. I couldn't move forward as I have some questions first and haven't had any response from their support. *update several days later... Still ZERO response from support.

don't try it. it'll screw all your template. it screwed ours, we tried contacting support, and waited all day (and yet has not been resolved, nor have contacted us about the issue). our website has been down for 24 hours now
