We had a very disappointing experience with Order Tracker. We installed the app on a trial account, configured the settings and were comfortable knowing the trial version was limited to 5 customer communication updates per month. The plan was to evaluate the app and then consider upgrading to a paid subscription if it delivered value. However, a few days ago, Order Tracker updated the tracking information on 9,553 historical orders, most of which were orders from several years old. This resulted in customers receiving unexpected notifications about long-completed orders, creating significant confusion and a substantial amount of unnecessary work for our customer service team. We attempted to contact support via both the in-app chat and email but have still not received no response. We've since removed the app. Hopefully our experience helps other merchants avoid a similar situation.
Hi, and thank you for the honest feedback, I'm truly sorry for the disruption this caused you and your team. This was our fault. A sync issue updated tracking on historical orders and triggered notifications on old, completed orders. It was system-generated and unintended, unrelated to your trial limit. We've since fixed the root cause: customer notifications are now strictly limited to recent orders across the whole app, so this can't happen again. I also apologize for the slow support reply.
