Saw this app on instagram and had to check it out. First thoughts, the app is intuitive. When creating the memberships, it provided with fairly good templates and naming practices. The store credit is easy to understand for customers and easy to navigate for my team.
I tried too many app about the store credit widgets but I just get everything I want about store credit widgets from this app. And I must say customer service is always helpful and amazing. They are helping about anything you need.
There is a huge problem with the Pabloo store credit app and US State Sales Tax collection. Pabloo utilizes a discount on the POS sales receipt instead of an alternate payment method when applying store credit to a sale. This discount goes against the total ticket price and lowers sales tax collection by the amount of credit applied against the ticket! This means for users not aware of how this works, you are selling taxable goods without collecting sales tax! Store credit is not a tax exempt payment method... For example if you sold a ticket at $1,000.00 in taxable goods, and they had a $500 store credit - at a 10% state tax rate - the total tax collected should be $100.00. Once Pabloo applies the $500 store credit as a discount, the calculated value of the ticket is now $500 and only charges $50 in sales tax. As the owner of the store - You are responsible for the other $50 in uncollected sales tax!!!
Currently using Pabloo: Store Credit for the cashback program. I am seeing great results with customers returning after purchase.
Support team is terrible. According to them, until your on a paid plan, they wont offer you support. UI/UX did not populate correctly on our theme for the mobile browsing version. They refused to fix the issue demonstrated unwillingness to help with delayed replies.
There is a limit to how many credits you can issue. We are on the plus plan and would have to upgrade to one that costs 2.5x more to continue issuing credits this month. The tiers mention features, but it does not mention this limit when it's outlining what you get with each plan.
I don’t usually leave reviews but wanted to bring more attention to this app. I found it by accident while searching for a better way to do refunds. Everytime we give a refund, I would have to pay processing fees. And it takes about a week for the money to reach my customer’s bank account so that they can use it again and I end up paying twice the processing for no reason! It’s ridiculous. I don’t know how they expect us to pay all this processing fees. I’m discovering that Pabloo is actually pretty neat. I can now give store credit on the spot and there is no processing fees. Problem finally solved!
Just started using Pabloo at my store. It’s straightforward, does what it promises, and my customers are enjoying the convenience of store credit. Support was super helpful and they quickly built a feature I asked for.
IT's been a great addition to monitor our store credit and the team have been very helpful when contacted.
Easy to set up and does exactly what we need it to do. Really appreciate the basic functionality of the free account, which I was surprised was not already part of Shopify. We don't really need any of the advanced features but if we did I wouldn't hesitate to sign up for a paid account. Customer service was very quick to respond to an issue we were having with deposit amounts and get it straightened out.
Amazing App. New, Basic, does the job. Simple to use and has amazing support from the developer. We needed some features and Pabloo was superfast to add those. • You can add/withdraw credits to a customer which are auto-applied at the checkout. • You can make a page for the customer to see their balance and history (Wish this page could be inside the my-account section, but Shopify doesn't allow that) • You can view the overall transaction statement and each user as well. Few requests to the developer: 1. Please add a date range filter in the activity feed. When there are too many entries, it's difficult to search. 2. Our store is in INR but store credit only shows $ symbol. It should pick from store's default currency. 3. Future features could include store credit automation on user referrals, welcome credit, on putting reviews etc. Kudos to Pabloo!
